Netiquette

A hundred years ago people often wrote letters on a daily basis. They chose their words carefully and thoughtfully to communicate feelings and intent. However, during the intervening decades the art of written communication has been lost. People in this digital age do not know how to begin or end their emails appropriately.
Email is a casual means of communication and informality has become the norm. But some critics believe that familiarity in work emails has made communication trickier. Maybe we need to develop a workable etiquette for emails. What do you think?
